The Community Cleans Up!
On Saturday, April 5, UCD participated in Mayor Nutter’s Philly Spring Cleanup, resulting in the largest community cleanup in UCD’s 10-year history. UCD’s sincerely thanks our partners for making the cleanup a great success:

The Restaurant School
People’s Emergency Center
The Enterprise Center
Partnership CDC
Commerce Bank
University City High School
University of Pennsylvania
Drexel University
WXPN
University of Pennsylvania Hospital

The Mayor announced that the citywide cleanup netted more than 2.5 million pounds of trash. University City District estimates that more than 4,000 bags of trash were removed from University City with the help of more than 5,000 volunteers. UCD’s next University City Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, May 3. Let’s continue the momentum in making Philadelphia the cleanest city!

To sign up, contact Dexter Bryant at dexter@ucityphila.org or call (215) 243-0555, ext.236.
