UCD and Penn Ice Rink Host Free Night of Public Skating for the Holidays

Philadelphia, PA (11 December 2001) -- At this time of year, wallets shrink and waistlines expand. So many gifts and so many holiday celebrations. As a solution, the University City District invites fellow Philadelphians out for the perfect union of fiscal austerity and physical exercise: For the 4th season, the University City District and Class of 1923 Ice Rink are sponsoring Winterfest!, an evening of free ice skating, $1 skate rental, and complimentary cookies, cocoa, and holiday treats at the Class of 1923 Rink, 3130 Walnut Street, on Thursday 20th December from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
