3rd Annual Party for the Park

Philadelphia, 19 March 2002 – Mark your calendars for the 3rd Annual Party for the Park – the fundraiser that helps provide regular maintenance of the Park. It’s professional upkeep that attracts events to Clark Park such as last July’s free concert by The Philadelphia Orchestra. Please consider a donation to the fund. This year’s goal is $75,000. Fundraising Committee co-chairs are Jack Shannon, University of Pennsylvania, and Sue Scanlin, friends of Clark Park.

Tickets are $60 for Friends of Clark Park members or groups of 8 or more and $75 for individuals. They can be purchased on line at ucityphila.org or by calling the UCD. If we sell $20,000 of tickets, The Drumcliff Foundation will match it! And this year begins the drive to establish a permanent endowment for Clark Park maintenance. The Party will be held rain or shine at 43rd Street and Kingsessing Mall, just across the street from the Park, with food, drink, and music.
