Philadelphia, PA (11 December 2002) --- At this time of year, wallets shrink and waistlines expand. So many gifts and so many holiday celebrations. As a solution, the University City District invites fellow Philadelphians out for the perfect union of fiscal austerity and physical exercise: For the 5th season, the University City District and Class of 1923 Ice Rink are sponsoring Winterfest!, an evening of free ice skating, $1 skate rental, and complimentary cookies, cocoa, and holiday treats at the Class of 1923 Rink, 3130 Walnut Street, on Thursday 19th December from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Whether your skating style is "lutz" or "klutz," it’s good clean fun. For more information, call 215 243 0555 or visit UCityphila.org.
University City District builds effective partnerships to maintain a clean and safe environment and to promote, plan, and advocate for University City's diverse urban community.
