4th Annual Party for the Park

Philadelphia, 7 April 2003 – Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Party for the Park – Thursday, May 1st from 5:30-8pm. Celebrate the arrival of spring and support the ongoing maintenance of Clark Park with May Wine, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and special guests Spiral Q Puppet Theater and Anne Marie Mulgrew Dance Company.

For the past three years, University City District, Friends of Clark Park, and other park advocates have raised significant funds to improve the appearance, health, and vitality of University City’s oldest and largest park. Contributions go directly to supplemental maintenance of the park, such as mowing the grass, edging walkways, emptying trashcans, and fertilizing. Fundraising Committee co-chairs are Elizabeth Bressi-Stoppe, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, and Andrew Cole, Friends of Clark Park.

Tickets for the party are $60 for Friends of Clark Park members or groups of 8 or more and $75 for individuals. They can be purchased on line at ucityphila.org or by calling the UCD. If we sell $20,000 of tickets, The Drumcliff Foundation will match it! The Party will be held rain or shine at 43rd Street and Kingsessing Mall.

Thanks to sponsors The Drumcliff Foundation, Academic Properties, Inc., AP Construction, Inc., ARAMARK, Campus Apartments, Campus Technologies, Inc., The Inn at Penn, Royalty Press, Skanska USA Building, Inc., University City District, University of Pennsylvania, and University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. (List as of 4/1/03.)
