The 6th Annual Bike Part Art Show Benefit - September 12

The 6th annual Bike Part Art Show will take place Friday, September 12th, from 6 – 9pm, at Studio 34, 4522 Baltimore Avenue, Philadelphia. Unique bicycle-themed artworks will be part of a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting the youth programs at Neighborhood Bike Works. The benefit will also include a raffle, live entertainment, and refreshments.

Over one-hundred artworks, including sculptures, functional furniture, jewelry, paintings, prints, t-shirts, greeting cards, and photographs, are created and contributed by artists, cycling enthusiasts, and more. Artworks not sold during the benefit will remain on view and on sale at Studio 34 through Sunday, September 14th. A selection will be exhibited from September 19th – October 16th, at Abbraccio Restaurant, located at 820 S. 47th Street, Philadelphia.

This year’s benefit is sponsored by Victory Brewing Company and Laborers Local Union 57. The 6th Annual Bike Part Art Show is proud to partner with Bike Philly, a family-friendly bike tour taking place on Sunday, September 14th. To learn more about the ride, visit www.bikephilly2008.com.

About Neighborhood Bike Works

Neighborhood Bike Works (NBW) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit educational organization in West Philadelphia dedicated to increasing the opportunities for urban youth through bicycling, and promoting cycling as an environmentally friendly means of transportation. NBW offers educational, recreational, and career-building opportunities through bicycling, with over 1,200 students graduating from the youth programs and earning their own bikes; the distribution of over 2,000 helmets throughout the community and the donation of more than 8,000 used bikes, saving over one-hundred tons of metal and plastic from local landfills.
