Off-Campus Move-Out/Move-In Strategy

Multiple times a year, University City sees an increase in students moving in and out of the area in addition to a significant increase in trash. UCD collaborates with the local universities and colleges and landlords to organize trash collection and removal services and strategies for our transient communities.

Students can donate unwanted furniture by calling Uhuru at 215-546-9616 for an appointment. Phones are answered Tuesdays through Sundays from 11:30-6:30.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

USE CLEAR BAGS WHENEVER POSSIBLE so trash pickers can window shop and not rip apart bags. (Ask your landlord for some clear bags)

Put trash out on the REGULAR or SPECIAL City trash collection days or take the trash to the dumpsters. DO NOT leave your trash on the sidewalk at any other time or you will be fined by the City.

Dumpsters are for trash only! Need a recycling bin? Call UCD at 215-243-0555.
