University City Arts League Hires New Executive Director
The University City Arts League has named Edward M. Epstein as its new executive director.
A veteran leader of community arts organizations, Epstein is also an artist and educator. He founded and directed the 40th St. Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program and has had great success fund raising.
The West Philadelphia resident earned his B.A. from Yale in art and M.F.A. from Indiana University in painting. He has exhibited his art in cities throughout the nation and has taught in colleges and universities from Texas to Pennsylvania. He's also taught at the Arts League and has been recently been helping to coordinate visual arts programs at the Penn Alexander School.
He assumes his new post on April 28. Please stop by and say hello.
