(Philadelphia, PA) – From April 3 to 15, 2008, the 17th annual Philadelphia Film Festival will return to University City, with screenings at The Bridge Cinema de Lux (40th and Walnut streets) and International House Philadelphia (3701 Chestnut Street).  With overall estimated attendance figures estimated to once again exceed 60,000, University City will be teeming with new visitors and excited audiences - all centered on the Film Festival’s 250+ films from 49 countries.

As an incentive to those purchasing tickets to Film Festival films University City District (UCD) has put together a promotion offering 20% off* purchases at University City restaurants (tax, alcohol and gratuity excluded), retailers and arts organizations such as the Dock Street Brewery, Eastern Mountain Sports, Rae Restaurant, Annenberg Center, World Café Live, The Black Cat Gift Shop, Philly Car Share, and more.  For a complete list of participating businesses, visit  http://www.ucityphila.org/_files/docs/pff_discounts_08.pdf. While you experience the film festival, we invite you to discover some other unique experiences in our part of the city”.
