Paradise City Arts Festival in Philadelphia - April 4, 5, & 6

Don’t miss Philadelphia’s most exciting show of contemporary craft, painting and sculpture!

#1 Nationwide!
“2008 Top 10 Art Fairs and Festivals”
- AmericanStyle Magazine

You’ll see thousands of works of art in every conceivable form, function and price range. This April, Paradise City introduces the work of Noi Volkov. Born in Russia, Volkov was arrested by the KGB for his satirical paintings. Now a master ceramist, his work resides in the Mint Museum of Charlotte and the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco.

Meet Ileana Andruchovici, high-fashion seamstress, and Alex Stanciu, young computer whiz. This mother and son fashion design team live in Bala Cynwyd. Combining the seductive draping qualities of luxurious silk with original art in brilliant colors and photorealistic images, they create one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces that are both elegant and flattering. Noi Volkov’s witty, elegant teapots take their inspiration from art history and literature, ranging from Cervantes and Renoir to Leonardo da Vinci.

Dale Rogers is a young, upand-coming sculptor with a burgeoning reputation for his humorous, provocative and archetypically American art. Some of the cities that have purchased his work for their permanent collections include Gaithersburg, MD; Ocean City, NJ; Orlando, FL; Newburyport, MA; Edgewater, NJ; and Palm Desert, CA. Many private gardens in the Philadelphia area sport Rogers pieces, like this American Dog (pictured RIGHT).

Jazz melodies float through the air, a seat in the sunlit Sculpture Garden beckons... A garden of artful delights is the setting for lively classic jazz each day. Relax among the flowers, trees, large-scale sculpture and one-of-a-kind furniture while you sip coffee and nibble pastry. From Middle Eastern salads and turkey molé chili to artful desserts and English “tea sandwiches”, Philadelphia’s acclaimed “Feast Your Eyes” presents a savory and sweet menu in the Paradise Café.
