Public Tours of NBC 10 Concept Home to Support Phila. Ronald McDonald House
The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House has been chosen as the charity to participate in the NBC10 Concept Home- a beautiful and breathtaking multi-million dollar Traditional-style concept home just built in Berwyn. The organization will be coordinating the public tours being offered on Thursdays through Sundays, October 11 through October 28.
The mission of the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House is to provide a “home-away-from-home” and supportive services for 44 families each night whose children are being treated in Philadelphia hospitals. In 2006, the House served over 2100 families from 48 states and 16 countries. The accommodations provide a private room, van transportation back and forth to the hospital, complimentary meals, TV lounges, laundry facilities, and children’s play areas.
Here’s the best part of touring the NBC10 Concept Home: For each ticket sold, The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House will receive 100% of the proceeds. The cost of one ticket ($15) equals what we ask our families to pay for each night’s stay. No one is ever turned away due to their inability to pay this guest fee or a portion of it. Due to the significant financial impact of their child’s illness, 65% of our families are unable to pay this $15 nightly fee.
