UCD Launches New Website Highlighting Diverse Dining, Entertainment and Nightlife Options

University City District Launches New Campaign & Website Focusing on Attracting Young, Tech-Savvy Visitors
breakmyroutine.com highlights dining, nightlife and entertainment hotspots in University City

(Philadelphia) – Today, University City District (UCD) launched a new print and online campaign geared at attracting visitors to University City, highlighting the district’s unique cultural, dining and entertainment venues. UCD contracted Kanter International to develop and execute the creative concepts behind the campaign and Geocentric, a web-based company based in Bethesda, MD to create the new www.breakmyroutine.com website.

“The concept behind the campaign is to encourage visitors, whether they are students, residents of center city, the suburbs or a tourist to Philadelphia to break their normal routine and to experience the diversity of shops, restaurants, cultural and music venues and nightlife hotspots that University City has to offer,” says Lori Klein Brennan, Marketing Director for University City District.

The online and print ads use people’s real experiences to ultimately drive traffic to the breakmyroutine.com website. The quotes used in the ads are catchy, the people are real and the forum on the site will provide people the chance to post un-moderated comments about their experiences in University City.

The breakmyroutine website will allow visitors to explore University City through listings and maps, and to blog about their favorite hangouts.

The print ads directing visitors to the new website will be featured in City Paper, Philadelphia Weekly, City Suburban News, Philadelphia Magazine, and Philadelphia Style. Online ads will run with Campus Philly, Around Philly, PhiladelphiaUSA, Philly Fun Guide, UC Net, Around Philly, Social Philly and Philly 2 Night.
